JON 1:8

Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou? (Jonah 1:8)
What is thine occupation?
Jonah 1:8

Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou? (Jonah 1:8)
Jonah had to account for himself and state his occupation. He actually didn’t answer that particular question, but he did identify himself as fearing God. Working for the Lord is a wonderful experience. There is little that gives more happiness than service for Him. A servant of the Lord who won’t do the job the Lord has asked him to do will be unhappy. Jonah found himself in terrible circumstances because he ran away from what God wanted him to do. Be like Jonah on his second attempt to do God’s service - not on his first.
