Corruption of Seraiah

(1) A son of Caleb (1 Chron. 2:49⁴⁹She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah. (1 Chronicles 2:49)). (2) The scribe of David (2 Sam. 20:25²⁵And Sheva was scribe: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests: (2 Samuel 20:25)). Shavsha (1 Chron. 18:16¹⁶And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe; (1 Chronicles 18:16)). Shisha (1 Kings 4:3³Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder. (1 Kings 4:3)).
