I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing.
The suffering of the Lord was so intense that it felt as if He were sinking in thick mud. His suffering at the hand of a holy God will never be understood. We can never enter into the depth of the punishment that He endured. Praise God that we won’t have to. The Lord Jesus bore it all so that we could go free. He was willing to suffer for us that He might bring us to God.
