1. City in the lowlands of Judah (Josh. 15:34³⁴And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam, (Joshua 15:34)). Not identified.

2. City on the boundary of Ephraim (Josh. 16:8⁸The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families. (Joshua 16:8); Josh. 17:8⁸Now Manasseh had the land of Tappuah: but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim; (Joshua 17:8)). Probably connected with EN-TAPPUAH in Joshua 17:7⁷And the coast of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethah, that lieth before Shechem; and the border went along on the right hand unto the inhabitants of En-tappuah. (Joshua 17:7).

3. City whose king was killed under Joshua, but whether the same as either of the above is unknown (Josh. 12:17¹⁷The king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one; (Joshua 12:17)).
