1. Son of Hur and father of Bezaleel who had skill given him for the construction of the tabernacle (Ex. 31:2²See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: (Exodus 31:2); Ex. 35:30³⁰And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the Lord hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; (Exodus 35:30); Ex. 38:22²²And Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the Lord commanded Moses. (Exodus 38:22); 1 Chron. 2:20²⁰And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel. (1 Chronicles 2:20); 2 Chron. 1:5⁵Moreover the brazen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the Lord: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.
