Crowned The last glimpse this world had of the Lord Jesus was hanging on a Roman cross, crowned with a crown of thorns. “And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon His head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before Him, and mocked Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews” (Matthew 27:29). The next glimpse this world will have of the Lord Jesus, is coming in power and glory, crowned with many crowns. “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself” (Revelation 19:11-12). In the meantime, we as believers, look up by faith and see Him crowned with glory and honor. “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man” (Hebrews 2:9).
