Here is a Sunday school song that I grew up singing, with some slight changes and a new verse added.
Can a young person like me
Thank the Savior fittingly?
Yes, O yes, He loves to hear
Praises from the youths so dear.
I can thank Him o’er and o’er,
For my load of sins He bore.
Can a young person like me
Pray to Jesus fittingly?
Yes, O yes, He loves to hear
Prayers from lips of youths so dear.
I will need His help today
In the things I do and say.
Can a young person like me
Hear my Lord speak fittingly?
Yes, O yes, His voice is clear
Youths His truth can surely hear.
I will read His Book today,
Listen, and His words obey.
