The Savior

Today we worship a crucified Savior:

“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Galatians 6:14).

Today we worship a risen Savior:

“He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay” (Matthew 28:6).

Today we worship an ascended Savior:

“He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things” (Ephesians 4:10).

Today we worship a coming Savior:

“I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:3).

What a glorious meditation the person and work of Christ is! Open your Bible and read portions concerning the cross of Calvary. Find verses regarding His resurrection. Turn to Scriptures that speak of His ascension. Read and rejoice in the truth of His soon return.
