Singing “I will sing unto the Lord” (Psalm 13:6). “Come before His presence with singing”(Psalm 100:2). Singing God’s praises does four things: 1. Honors the Lord. “Whoso offereth praise glorifieth Me” (Psalm 50:23). 2. Gives testimony to the unsaved. “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them” (Acts 16:25). 3. Edifies our brothers and sisters in Christ. “Teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16). 4. Brings joy to us. “Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart” (Isaiah 65:14). Singing has always been a way for the people of God to express their joy in the Lord, and their appreciation of what He has done for them. Let’s sing His praises from our hearts today. He is worthy of every note that we can give Him.
