(gazelles). A disputed word, regarded as identical with Zeboim (Ezra 2:57⁵⁷The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Ami. (Ezra 2:57); Neh. 7:59⁵⁹The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon. (Nehemiah 7:59)).

Concise Bible Dictionary:

Place to which Pochereth, a servant of Solomon, belonged (Ezra 2:57⁵⁷The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Ami. (Ezra 2:57); Neh. 7:59⁵⁹The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon. (Nehemiah 7:59)). The RV has “Pochereth-hazzebaim.” It is probably the same as ZEBOIM, ZEBOIIM.
