(watchtower). An Amorite town in the mountains near Kadesh. Called Hormah after it was conquered by the Israelites (Judg. 1:17¹⁷And Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they slew the Canaanites that inhabited Zephath, and utterly destroyed it.
