If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?1 – They provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.2
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.3
A whisperer separateth chief friends.4 – There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.5 – The tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. … Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.6
Put off … anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.7 – This is the will of God, even your sanctification.8 – In their mouth was found no guile.9

The sting of death is sin.1 – But now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.2
As the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.3
I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.4

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.1
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.2 – The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, … shall teach you all things.3 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights.4
The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, … give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.5

Thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: … and thou shalt put it before the vail that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee. And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: … and when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations.1
[Jesus] is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.2 – The smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.3
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.4
Pray without ceasing.5

If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.1 – O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.2
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.3
I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.4 – I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.5

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.1
Be ye therefore perfect.2 – Giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.3
I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment.4
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit.5
There remaineth … a rest to the people of God.6 – Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.7

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.1 – He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit.2
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. … Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. … Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.3
The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.4

Enoch walked with God.1 – Can two walk together, except they be agreed?2 – It is good for me to draw nigh to God.3
The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. … When they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.4
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.5
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, … and having an high priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.6

O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.1
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.2
Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.3 – I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.4 – Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.5
Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.6
Now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face.7 – Having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better.8
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.9

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; … for he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.1 – Having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself. … And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.2 – Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.3 – Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace.4
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.5
