Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.1 – O Lord, I am oppressed; undertake for me.2
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.3 – Ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.4
Fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.5 – Be strong, … and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts.6 – Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.7
Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.8

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep.1 – The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.2
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.3 – Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.4
After that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance.5 – Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.6
I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.7 – This is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.8

When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.1
When the tempter came to [Jesus], he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered, … Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. … The devil … showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; … Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan.2
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.3
In that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted.4
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation.5

Be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.1 – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.2
My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.3
Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely. … Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God.4
I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps.5

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handywork.1 – By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. … For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.2 – Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.4
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?5

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth.1 – The letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.2
Christ … loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing.3
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. … Thy word hath quickened me. … Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. … I will not forget thy word. … I trust in thy word. … The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. … I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me. … How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.4

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.1
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.2 – He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.3 – Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.4
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.5 – Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. … Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?6 – Be not faithless, but believing.7 – Lo, I am with you alway.8

Without faith it is impossible to please him.1 – So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.2 – The Lord taketh pleasure in his people.3
This is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. … If, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.4 – The ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, … is in the sight of God of great price.5
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.6 – I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.7
I beseech you … brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.8

A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.1 – We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities.2 – It became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.3 – Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered.4
I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.5
Behold how he loved.6 – He took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. … In all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.7

Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.1 – If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.2
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.3
Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.4 – I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey.5 – The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.6
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.7 – Every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.8 – Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.9
