[Moses] stood between the Lord and you at that time, to show you the word of the Lord: for ye were afraid.1 – There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.2
Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.3 – Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.4 – Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.5
Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; but Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.6

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.1 – Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.2
Ye are a … royal priesthood, … that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.3 – Ye … as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.4 – By him … let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.5
My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.6

I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.1 – Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off. I called upon thy name, O Lord, out of the low dungeon. Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.2
Will the Lord cast off forever? and will he be favorable no more? Is his mercy clean gone forever? doth his promise fail forevermore? Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? … And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.3 – I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.4

I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins.1 – I have laid help upon one that is mighty.2 – The Lord … thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.3 – Mighty to save.4 – Able to keep you from falling.5 – Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.6
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.7 – He is able … to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him.8
Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem?9
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? … I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.10

How precious … are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.1 – How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!2 – Thy love is better than wine.3
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.4 – Thou art fairer than the children of men.5
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.6 – His countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars. His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend.7

He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.1 – Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him.2
God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.3
I beseech you … brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.4 – The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.5 – Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.6

The law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered?1 – By him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.2
Forasmuch … as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren.3

My beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.1 – He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.2 – If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.3 – By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.4 – Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.5
Christ … suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.6 – Consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.7
In their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.8

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.1 – Thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God.2
I am a sinful man, O Lord.3 – Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair.4
I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.5 – Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.6
When I would do good, evil is present with me.7 – Be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.8
I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.9 – Ye are complete in him.10 – Perfect in Christ Jesus.11
Ye are washed, … ye are sanctified, … ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.12 – That ye should show forth the praises of him who hath calleth you out of darkness into his marvellous light.13

Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel.1 – I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.2 – With the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.3
Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause.4 – My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.5
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.6
