Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.1 – I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.2 – I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.3
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.4 – Not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.5 – And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.6

It shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.1
We have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.2
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.3 – For through him we … have access by one Spirit unto the Father.4 – We have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.5 – Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.6

[Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.1 – The children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the Lord God of their fathers.2
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.3 – It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.4 – The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.5
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.6

They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.1 – Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.2
Having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly.3 – That through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.4 – In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.5 – Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. … And take … the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.6 – Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.7

By the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer. Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.1 – When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light.2 – Thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.3
I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.4 – We have also a … sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place.5 – Now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.6 – They need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever.7

Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.1 – God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.2 – But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.3 – I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified.4
This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy.5 – Holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, forever.6
For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.7 – Seeing … that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us … come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.8

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity.1 – None eye pitieth thee, … but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born. And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee, … Live.2
He brought me up … out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God.3
When we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.4 – God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ.5

A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.1 – Touched with the feeling of our infirmities.2
Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.3 – Jesus … being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well.4
When Jesus … saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled. … Jesus wept.5 – For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted.6
He hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth; to hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death.7 – He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.8 – When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path.9
He that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.10 – In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them.11

We are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.1 – God … hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.2 – Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.3
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.4
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.5

Whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.1 – Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.2 – Ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.3
Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better.4
I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.5
