How precious … are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.1 – How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!2 – Thy love is better than wine.3
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.4 – Thou art fairer than the children of men.5
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.6 – His countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars. His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend.7

He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.1 – Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him.2
God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.3
I beseech you … brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.4 – The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.5 – Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.6

The law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered?1 – By him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.2
Forasmuch … as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren.3

My beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.1 – He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.2 – If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.3 – By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.4 – Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.5
Christ … suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.6 – Consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.7
In their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.8

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.1 – Thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God.2
I am a sinful man, O Lord.3 – Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair.4
I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.5 – Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.6
When I would do good, evil is present with me.7 – Be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.8
I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.9 – Ye are complete in him.10 – Perfect in Christ Jesus.11
Ye are washed, … ye are sanctified, … ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.12 – That ye should show forth the praises of him who hath calleth you out of darkness into his marvellous light.13

Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel.1 – I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.2 – With the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.3
Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause.4 – My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.5
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.6

When we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.1 – He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?2
In him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.3
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.4 – To will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.5 – Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.6
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.7 – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.8

We … rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also.1 – I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.2 – Believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.3
In a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.4 – Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.5
Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?6 – God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.7

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, … who also maketh intercession for us.1 – Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.2
If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.3 – There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.4
Seeing … that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.5 – Through him we … have access by one Spirit unto the Father.6

Let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.1
O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.2 – According to your faith be it unto you.3 – Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.4
They drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and [Jesus] made as though he would have gone further. But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: … he vanished out of their sight.
