Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, … and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.1
The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity.2

I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil.1 – There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.2
In Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace.3
It pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself.4 – Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, … that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.5 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.6
Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.7

This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.1
Faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.2 – Faith … worketh by love.3 – He that soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.4 – We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.5 – Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.6
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth. … Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power.7 – It is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.8

In the world ye shall have tribulation.1 – The whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.2 – We that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.3
These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.4

That we should be holy and without blame before him in love.1
God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: whereunto he called you, … to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.2 – Whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.3 – Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.4
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.5 – God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.6

Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.1 – Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.2 – The commandment is a lamp; and the law is light.3
Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me. I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.4
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!5

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.1 – Ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.2
I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain.3 – Having therefore, … boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; and having a high priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.4 – We may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.5

It is the spirit that quickeneth.1 – The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.2 – Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance.3
I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.4 – The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.5 – The letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.6 – If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.7 – This is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us.8
No man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.9

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. … I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.1
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.2 – Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.3 – A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.4
He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.5 – Christ … loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.6

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who … took upon him the form of a servant.1 – Even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.2 – He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.3
When Jesus … saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled. … Jesus wept.4 – Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.5
Be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.6
