Jesus … made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, … that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.1 – One died for all.2 – As by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.3
The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.4 – That was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.5 – God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him.6 – God … hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, … the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person.7 – Thou hast given him power over all flesh.8
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.9

God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.1
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger forever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.2 – O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.3 – When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.4 – I waited patiently for the Lord; … He brought me up … out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock.5

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.1 – God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.2 – Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.3 – By him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.4
Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.5 – And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.6 – Of his fullness have all we received.7

If ye … be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For … your life is hid with Christ in God.1 – Our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.2
The flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.3 – Brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.4 – Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.5

When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven.1 – My Father, and your Father; … my God, and your God.2
As the Father gave me commandment, even so I do.3 – The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.4
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.5 – Thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.6
Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?7 – I and my Father are one8 – As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.9

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.1 – I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.2
Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?3 – Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.4 – In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.5
The work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.6 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.7 – Peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come.8

Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.1 – Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?2
We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.3 – The mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.4
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.5 – The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.6

To us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.1 – All men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath sent him.2 – By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.3 – Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.4
I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. … Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen.5

The peace of God … passeth all understanding.3 – Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body.4
Our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.5 – Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.6

Jehovah-nissi [The Lord my banner].1 – When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.2
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners.3 – The Lord hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God.4 – We are more than conquerors through him that loved us.5 – Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.6 – The captain of their salvation.7
My brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.8 – Valiant for the truth.9 – Fight the Lord’s battles.10 – Be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: … fear ye not.11 – Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.12 – Yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.13
