Even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister.1 – Whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.2
Jesus of Nazareth … went about doing good.3 – Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.4
The meekness and gentleness of Christ.5 – In lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.6
Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.7 – Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.8
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.9 – Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.10

Go ye … into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you.1 – Whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.2 – The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.3 – God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, … in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.4
Every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.5
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? … And the King shall answer and say unto them, … Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. … Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.6

Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.1 – There shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth.2 – There is no spot in thee.3
Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.4 – As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear.5 – Put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and … put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.6 – He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.7

The way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest.1 – Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.2
Having … brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; … let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.3 – Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.4
Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation [mercy seat] through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.5 – Through him we … have access by one Spirit unto the Father.6

I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.1
When ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.2 – The Spirit … helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.3
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.4 – Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.5
If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.6

Take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, … to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.1 – Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.2 – Abstain from all appearance of evil.3
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.4 – Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.5
Brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.6 – Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching.7

Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.1
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.2 – There is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets.3 – Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him?4
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.5 – If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth.6

The fellowship of his sufferings.1 – Rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.2 – For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him.3 – If children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.4
God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.5 – Our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.6

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.1
I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. … O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.2 – If Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.3 – If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard.4
Little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.5 – He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.6

The Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.1 – He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.2 – Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.3
I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin.4 – I will melt them, and try them.5
Thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. … We went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.6
When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.7
