Are You Wise?

A BAND of young Christians were preaching the gospel on the streets of a small town, and one of their number was handing gospel tracts to those who passed by. Some took the tracts with a "Thank you," but one young man said, "Give it to someone else." Shortly after, another young man came along and said, "Not today thanks; I had one last week, but I haven't read it yet."
Do you think these young men were wise? Perhaps they were busy and had a lot of other things to think about, and maybe you, dear reader, are the same. You are interested in story books, in fun and sport, but you are not interested in the gospel, or in gospel tracts. Again I ask — "Are you wise?" The things which interest you will not last forever. They may end, for you today or tomorrow, but your soul would not come to an end. "What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Mark 8:36, 3736For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Mark 8:36‑37).
"O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!" Deut. 32:2929O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! (Deuteronomy 32:29).
