A- YOUNG Christian man, calling from door to door to spread the good news of God's love to sinners, found at one home that the people were French-Canadians. He was glad to be able to give the lady a French copy of the Gospel of John, and after a short visit she asked him to come again and talk to her husband too.
When he went again the next day, he found they had already read the Gospel and wanted a New Testament, which he gladly gave to them. The young man invited them to attend some gospel meetings being held nearby. This they did and heard for the first time the story of God's love to this sinful world in giving His Son Jesus to pay the penalty sin deserved. They both realized how sinful their lives had been, and eagerly listened as the preacher went on to tell how God was beseeching sinners to come to Him and accept Jesus as their own personal Saviour. For nearly two weeks they continued to go to the meetings and read the Testament, and then both husband and wife confessed the Lord Jesus as their own personal Saviour.
Arid how about you, dear reader? Perhaps you are quite familiar with the gospel story, but have you really believed it? Have you ever taken the Lord Jesus as your Saviour? If not, why not do so now, and you will not only be happy yourself, but we read in Luke 15:10,10Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
