THE railway company found many empty seats in their trains and money was slow coming in. Therefore they decided to sell cheaper tickets to all pleasure parties in order to encourage people to travel by train.
An old preacher came to the station to buy tickets for a group of Christians, who were traveling to a Bible conference in a neighboring town.
"Is it a pleasure party?" asked the ticket agent.
"It isn't a 'pleasures of sin for a season' party, but it's a 'pleasures for evermore' party," he answered..
He could not obtain the cheap tickets. The man of the world did not know that a Christian conference is a pleasure.
How little the world knows of the deep real joy of knowing and serving the Lord Jesus Christ. You cannot know it, if you have never tasted His love for yourself. You may think that to be saved you have to give up all your pleasures, but when your heart has been cleansed in the precious blood of Christ you will have new life and will find new friends and new pleasures which will abide forever. We who are saved would repeat to you the old. old words.
