 Nebuchadnezzar had, provoked the conflict in challenging the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. God came in, and silently exhibited His power before the furious king; and he is conquered! (Daniel 3 by E. Dennett)
 It is to be remarked that it is not said that anyone besides Nebuchadnezzar saw the divine Companion of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. His eyes were for the moment opened to see what was naturally invisible, that he might learn his own folly in entering upon a conflict with the God of heaven. (Daniel 3 by E. Dennett)

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the opening of the burning fiery furnace; he spoke and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the Most High God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego came forth from the midst of the fire.
