Eye Gnat
The word κώνωψ, is supposed to refer to any species of gnat or mosquito. Matthew 23:2424Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. (Matthew 23:24) should read “strain out” in contrast to “swallowing.”
