Designation of Agee, Shammah, Shage, and Sharar or Sacar (2 Sam. 23:11,33¹¹And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines. (2 Samuel 23:11)
³³Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Hararite, (2 Samuel 23:33); 1 Chron. 11:34-35³⁴The sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite, ³⁵Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur, (1 Chronicles 11:34‑35)). The term has been thought to signify “mountaineer.”
