Ministry on This Verse

hold.
wavering.
for.
 Without its wavering, not through our strength or courage, but "for He is faithful that promised." Power of continuance is in looking to and for Christ. (Hebrews 10:15-25 by W. Kelly)
 There is a bright hope set before us, and He that has given the promise of the hope will be faithful to His word. But there is the danger of giving up “the confession” of the hope by settling down in this world. It is only as we look to Him who is faithful that we shall be able to hold fast without wavering. (The New Worshippers: Hebrews 10:19-22 by H. Smith)

J. N. Darby Translation

+
23
Let us hold fast the confession of the hope unwavering, (for he is faithful who has promised;)

W. Kelly Translation

+
23
Let us hold fast the confession of the hopea unwavering, for [he is] faithful that promised;

a
In the KJV the word "faith" is a strange if not unaccountable mistake. "Hope" is here right as "faith" in verse 22. Promise connects with the future, and hence calls for the word "hope."
