(rest). (1) Son of Zephaniah (Zech. 6:14¹⁴And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the Lord. (Zechariah 6:14)). (2) The domestic fowl, common in Palestine, but mentioned only in Matthew 23:37³⁷O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! (Matthew 23:37); Luke 13:34³⁴O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! (Luke 13:34).

Son of Zephaniah (Zech. 6:14¹⁴And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the Lord. (Zechariah 6:14)). By comparing verse 14 with Zechariah 6:10¹⁰Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah; (Zechariah 6:10) Hen (really Chen) appears to be another name of Josiah. Some treat the word Hen not as a proper name, and translate “for the favor of the son of Zephaniah.”
