19*. In Heavenly Love Abiding
7,6.
by A.L. Waring
In heavenly love abiding,
No change my heart shall fear,
And safe is such confiding,
For nothing changes here.
The storm may roar without me,
My heart may low be laid,
But God is round about me,
“And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.” (Mark 4:37)
Wherever He may guide me,
No want shall turn me back;
My Shepherd is beside me,
He knows the way He taketh
And I will walk with Him.
Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen,
Bright skies will soon be o’er me,
Where the dark clouds have been.
My hope I cannot measure,
My Savior has my treasure,
And He will walk with me.
At home, O Lord, with Thee.
Oh sleep, oh rest, how precious!
I’m waiting for Thy promise
“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13)
The Lord Himself, e’en Jesus,
Amid the ransomed throng,
Its glory, joy and beauty,
Oh day of wondrous promise!
The Bridegroom and the bride
