(gathered). Levitical city in Zebulun (Josh. 21:34³⁴And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs, (Joshua 21:34)).

Levitical city in Ephraim (1 Chron. 6:68⁶⁸And Jokmeam with her suburbs, and Beth-horon with her suburbs, (1 Chronicles 6:68)). Probably the same as JOKNEAM in 1 Kings 4:12¹²Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam: (1 Kings 4:12), where the RV has JOKMEAM. The Hebrew is the same in both places. Not identified.
