While Martha worked in the kitchen, her sister Mary preferred to sit quietly at the Lord’s feet and listen to His ministry. We don’t ever read of the Lord wasting time in idle talk. He only had three-and-a-half years to finish God’s work and He didn’t waste any of it. His words were words of power and blessing, and Mary relished every moment listening to His words. Don’t neglect ministry, young believer. It is through good, sound ministry that you can experience the teaching of the Lord Jesus and learn more about Him.
