That servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
The Lord is illustrating the importance of being ready for Him and doing His will. What is this for the Christian? To keep ourselves pure and ready for His second coming, and to be careful to maintain good works; purity toward God -kindness toward man.
