Do violence to no man.
This was the instruction of the Lord to the soldiers of His day, but it is a good principle for us. The Branch Davidian cult of Waco, Texas, whose leader claimed to be Jesus, was marked by preparation for violence and stockpiling of weapons. This is not Christianity, and any religious sect that promotes violence cannot be Christian. Christians must be gentle and kind, not violent and ready to fight.
