Lessons From David

David was the youngest: and the three eldest followed Saul. But David went and returned from Saul to feed his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.
David was, first of all, consistent. While his brothers were off seeking the gory glory of war, David was more concerned with the small and unknown work of feeding his father’s sheep. David did not seek for great things - he was content to do little things in a right way. Before honor is humility. Perhaps you know of some small thing you can do for the Lord and His people that only God will see. But if He is the only one to see you, then He is the only one to reward you. Our Father gives great rewards for small works.
