 The word “overshadowed” is the same as that used by the LXX for the cloud coming and filling the tabernacle. We learn from Matthew it was a bright cloud. It was the Shekinah of glory which had been with Israel in the wilderness—I may say the Father’s house. His voice came from it. Into this they entered. (Luke 9 by J.N. Darby)
