A booth or tent, used poetically for a dwelling (2 Sam. 22:12¹²And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies. (2 Samuel 22:12); 1 Kings 20:12,16¹²And it came to pass, when Ben-hadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said unto his servants, Set yourselves in array. And they set themselves in array against the city. (1 Kings 20:12)
¹⁶And they went out at noon. But Ben-hadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty and two kings that helped him. (1 Kings 20:16); Psa. 18:11¹¹He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. (Psalm 18:11); Psa. 27:5⁵For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
