That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work.
Selfishness is a characteristic of an unsaved person. After we’ve been saved, God gives us His Spirit and puts His love is in our hearts. That love would reach out to others in good works and kindness. He expects us to serve Him in this way. David wanted to show the kindness of God to those less fortunate. And he showed that kindness to a cripple. Let’s let our Christian love show to those around and share what we have with others.
