EXO 21:6⁶Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever. (Exodus 21:6)

His master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.

This is the loving response of a servant to his master who has been good and kind to him. Instead of wanting to leave, he expresses his dedication by receiving a permanent mark in his ear and pledging his service forever. Do we carry a permanent mark of service to the Lord? Do we love Him so much for what He did for us at Calvary that we are willing to serve Him forever? May it be so for each of us.
