Surrender

EXO 4:3-4³And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. ⁴And the Lord said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: (Exodus 4:3‑4)

And [God] said, Cast [the rod] on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent . . . and it became a rod in his hand.

Because Moses was a shepherd, his rod would remind us of his training, his job, everything that represented who he really was. In your case it might be your talent, your gift, your college education. Are you willing to submit all of this to the Lord Jesus and allow Him to give it back to you again in the way that He decides is best? This is surrendering our talent to Him. Trust Him! He gave you the talents in the first place. Now He wants you to use them for Him.
