Things New and Old [Paperback]

Each volume of Things New & Old is filled with a series of short and helpful articles. There’s a real mix of topics over the years and many topics were continued over many months. If you read a lot of ministry by C. H. Mackintosh and C. Stanley you will find that some of their books began as a series of articles in these periodicals. Volume 32 has a wonderful little article on “Preaching.” There was a preacher, a man of God, who spoke to large crowds and had many followers. Not one followed Christ. Later he spoke five words in the presence of two who became immediate followers of the Son of God. No doubt you know the preacher’s name and would benefit from thoughts about his “sermon” and other short “sermons” like it.

These volumes have noticeably larger type and good contrast in comparison to the original bound volumes. If your eyes are tired at the end of a long day, you might find these editions a welcome help.

We have looked for the best copies of the original volumes of Things New and Old that we could find in preparing these editions. However, there are some pages that show minor speckling, oddly formed characters or (in a few cases) some shadowing on the inner part of the page. None of it makes the pages unreadable, but they don’t look freshly typeset either.
