CHRISTIAN, you owe Christ everything. He paid your debt of sin by dying for you. He gave you, a bankrupt sinner, all the treasures of heaven, saying, “All things are yours, for ye are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.” He gave you rest from utter weariness and peace from depths of woe. He gave Himself for you. He who was rich for your sake became poor, that you through His poverty might be rich. You owe Him fealty of heart and soul, for He has said to you, “I have redeemed thee, thou, art Mine.” What do you owe your Saviour? No heart can think — no tongue can tell.
What will you give Him? Do you say “He gave me salvation; I will give what I can to save others; my gift shall be the measure of my appreciation of what He has done for me”? Christ said the widow’s mite was more than the rich man’s gold. She gave all that she had. Of another, Jesus said, “She hath done what she could.” What will He say of you?
