Worship

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker” (Psalm 95:6).

When we think about the awesomeness of God our Maker, our reaction should be to worship and bow down in His presence. He made us and He sustains our life. Paul said, when preaching on Mars’ Hill, “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though He needed any thing, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things” (Acts 17:24, 25).

Yet, more than this He has provided salvation for us through the work of the cross. He has saved us by His grace and a work of His Spirit. He has a home prepared for us in heaven, and has promised to come Himself and take us to that home. His love is great and He is the God of the universe. He became a man so that He could redeem us to Himself and enjoy our company now and forever. Remember that as you worship Him today. He is worthy of all worship! “Worship thou HIM” (Psalm 45:11).
