Seed-Sowing

“In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good” (Ecclesiastes 11:6).

Seed-sowing is not necessarily preaching! It is you and I just being keen and ready to drop the blessed seed of the Word of God in the soul, wherever God carries us throughout the day. You are the person going about with the heavenly seed-basket on your arm, dropping the seed wherever you go. It may be to a fellow believer, or it may be to a sinner. It is true, we are not all preachers or evangelists, but we should all be seed-sowers. The fact is, far too much is left to preaching and preachers. Each one of us have a responsibility.

The questions for all of us each morning is, Where will we sow the “Good Seed” today? The question for all of us each evening is, Where did we sow the “Good Seed” today?

Remember, “The seed is the Word of God” (Luke 8:11), and this is what the Spirit of God uses in blessing to souls who hear and receive it.
