Three Appearings of Christ — Part 3

The Future

“Unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (Hebrews 9:28).

The heavens, which now hide the Lord Jesus from our natural eyes, will presently open, and Jesus will come forth to bring His people into the full blessing of His accomplished work. It will be the fulfilment of the Lord’s own promise. What a day that will be! “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:3).

Are we looking for that day? Are we truly watching and waiting? Are we like those of whom it says, “Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that He shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them” (Luke 12:37)?

In summary we learn from these three appearings:

Christ has put away our sins by the sacrifice of Himself.

Christ lives in God’s presence for us, and bears us up through life’s journey.

Christ will come and take us home to be with Him forever.
