His Strong Hand — Part 1 A recent visitor in our home pointed out a number of times where the Bible speaks of the Lord’s strong hand. Let’s consider some of them: Deliverance “And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt” (Exodus 13:9). His care and ability to answer prayer “Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of Thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for Thy name’s sake; (For they shall hear of Thy great name, and of Thy strong hand, and of Thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house” (1 Kings 8:41-42). Redemption “Now these are Thy servants and Thy people, whom Thou hast redeemed by Thy great power, and by Thy strong hand” (Nehemiah 1:10).
