My Beloved Let’s listen in as the bride in the Song of Solomon describes her Bridegroom, relating it to our heavenly Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ. • “Behold, Thou art fair, my BELOVED, yea, pleasant” (1:16). • “The voice of my BELOVED! behold, He cometh” (2:8). • “My BELOVED is mine” (2:16). • “My BELOVED put in His hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for Him” (5:4). • “I am my BELOVED’S, and my BELOVED is mine” (6:3). • “I am my BELOVED’S, and His desire is toward me” (7:10). • “Make haste, my BELOVED, and be Thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices” (8:14). Her summary of the whole matter is contained in the following conclusion… “HE IS ALTOGETHER LOVELY. THIS IS MY BELOVED” (5:16). Can you say the same?
