• Amasiah, "willingly offered himself to Jehovah" (2 Chron. 17:16), and God testifies about him of this. This was no doubt one of the fruits of the teaching of the law in Judah. The need to dedicate one's self to the Lord springs up in the heart when one has tasted how good He is, and the revelation of this goodness is given us in the Word (1 Pet. 2:2-3).
