We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.1
I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.2 – I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.3
Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him.4 – To her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.5
I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord … that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.6

If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.1 – Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.2
He is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.3
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? … It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea, rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.4

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.1
We have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.2
Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. … It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.3
I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.4 – Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.5

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me.1 – It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: to show forth thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.2
Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.3
I beseech you, … brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.4 – Jesus, … that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. … By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.5 – Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.6
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.7

No chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.1 – The fruit of the Spirit.2
He stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.3
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.4
Though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.5
Though [Jesus] were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered.6 – In all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.7

For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.1
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.2
That servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.3
The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.4 – He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.5 – Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?6
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor.7

Upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. And I saw as the color of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. … This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.1
We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.2 – It doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.3
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more.4 – They sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb.5

Jesus … lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, … Holy Father, … O righteous Father.1 – He said, Abba, Father.2 – Because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.3 – For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.4
Doubtless thou art our father, … thou, O Lord, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.5
I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father.6
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children.7

My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: and he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, … and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.1 – Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?2
The works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, … envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: … But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.3
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. … Abide in me, and I in you. … Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.4

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.1
Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.2 – We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.3
Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.4 – Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, and a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence.5
God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.6 – I am crucified with Christ.7 – They that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.8
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.9
