When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.1 – Ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.2
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.3 – All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.4 – The holy scriptures … are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.5
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.6 – The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.7 – If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God.8 – The wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.9

All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.1
Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: but the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.2 – For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.3 – The world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.4
Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.5 – When they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.6

He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. … He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.1 – Glory to God … on earth peace, good will toward men.2
Through the tender mercy of our God; … the dayspring from on high hath visited us. To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.3 – Peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all).4
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.5 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.6 – The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.7

Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord.1
I and my Father are one. … The Father is in me, and I in him.2 – If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.3 – Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father.4 – Behold I and the children which God hath given me.5 – He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied.6 – I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.7 – Before Abraham was, I am.8 – God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.9
Unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever.10 – He is before all things, and by him all things consist.11 – In him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.12

Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee forever. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty. And in thy majesty ride prosperously. … Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.1 – Thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty.2 – The man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts.3
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.4 – Thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ.5
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.6

The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; and shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord.1
Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? … Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. … Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.2
The Lord of hosts … is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.3 – If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.4 – Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.5

Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear. … So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. … Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. … Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage. … The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. … Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations.1
God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath; that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus.2
Exceeding great and precious promises.3

Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.1 – Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.2 – Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?3
He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: … Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ.4 – The tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. … The tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.5 – Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt.6

Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.1 – I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.2
In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. … They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay. He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.3
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. … O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.4

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.1 – Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.2
Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.3
Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.4
