Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.1 – Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.2

I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.1

You hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, … among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind.2

According to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.3

When the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised them up a deliverer, Ehud, … a man lefthanded. … After him was Shamgar, … which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.1

The Lord looked upon [Gideon], and said, Go in this thy might, … have not I sent thee? … And he said unto him, O my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.2

God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.1 – As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.2

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.3 – The Father … hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.4

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.5 – Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. … Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.6

The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high.1 – The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. … He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; that he may set him with princes.2

Eve … bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.1

Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.1 – Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.1 – He hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.2
