Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.1 – The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.2 – Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.3

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. … I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.4 – Brethren, whatsoever things are true, what-soever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.5 – As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.6

We are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ7 – Nor handling the word of God deceitfully.8

That Rock was Christ.1 – Simon Peter … said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Thou blessest, O Lord, and it shall be blessed forever.1 – The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.2

Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.3 – When thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: and thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.4 – Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.5

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.6

The Lord God is a sun and shield.7

He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?1 – To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good.2

As many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.1

By the grace of God I am what I am.1 – Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth.2 – It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.3 – Where is boasting then? First the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.1 – Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.2

They measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. . . But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.3

The body is of Christ. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.4

Moses said unto the Lord, … I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee. … And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.1 – He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.2
