The Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.1 – I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.2
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart.3 – My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.4
Them that are sanctified by God the Father.5 – He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren.6
Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.7 – The fullness of him that filleth all in all.8
I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no savior.9 – This is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.10
Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.11

The invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead.1 – He left not himself without witness.2 – Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.3
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?4
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead.5 – They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.6

When the tempter came to [Jesus], he said, If thou be the Son of God. … [Jesus] answered and said unto him, It is written, … it is written, … it is written. … Then the devil leaveth him.1
I may not return with thee, … for it was said to me by the word of the Lord, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there. He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him. So he went back with him. … The man of God, … was disobedient unto the word of the Lord: therefore the Lord hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the Lord.2 – Though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.3 – Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.4

Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.1
Forasmuch … as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.2
If we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.3
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.4
In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.5

Judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.1 – The Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: … because he is the Son of man.2 – The Son of God … hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire.3
They say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?4 – These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.5 – There is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.6
Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.7 – Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.8

The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.1 – Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips.2 – All bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth.3
Ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.4 – He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself.5 – We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen.6
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.7 – I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.8
He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.9 – Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.10 – As every man hath received the gift, so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.11

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.1 – Now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.2 – An inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.3
All things are yours; … the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours.4 – Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit.5
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.6 – Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.7

Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.1
I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.2 – He … became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.3 – In the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered.4
Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?5 – Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.6

I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.1 – He shall not speak of himself. … He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and show it unto you.2
The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.3
He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. … Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?4
Grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.5 – The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.6

Ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.1 – Of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.2 – My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.3 – God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.4
Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?5 – Not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.6
We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.7
